Originally, Sailor Venus wasn't my favorite scout, but after I chose this character and did some research....I LOVED HER! This costume was a lot of fun to do, and I'll have to work up the courage to fix up a few things and enter it into a competition to bring back the Old School.
The fuku is based off the manga, when Venus earns her Eternals rank. Earlier shots, I had a shorter wig and no brooch...more recent shots, I have the brooch and a longer wig. The "Princess" photoshoot was a lot of us Austin Scouts in dresses similar to what the characters would wear. I never really got around to making her actual Princess gown, even though I do have a few patterns that would work....
Sailor Venus Costume: This was made from a Green Pepper pattern from Jo Anns. (The Ice Skater pattern). The leotard is white spandex (doubled up, since it was a little thin...), the top skirt was satin, and the bottom skirt was chiffon. I found a wig at a costuming store (I think it's style was named Jewel) that had the right length and color! The shorter one worked in a pinch, but the longer one is perfect for Sailor Venus

Is this the senshi version or the regular one? It's really awesome that you broke down the costume and everything too. Great cosplay and you look great.
